Wrapping Instructions

The wrapping of Fourban 4 layer compression bandage must only be performed by medically trained specialists.

Clean the leg with sterile solution, before applying the bandage.

Hold your ankle at 90 degree angle. Apply the bandage from base of the toe and circle the bandage around the ankle, covering the Achillies tendon and cross back over to opposite of the foot.

Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 4 bandages are wrapped spirally around the leg. Proceed up to the leg with 50% overlap. Finish the wrap below the knee at the last circle, secure the bandage firmly with a tape.

Note: The layer 4 should be wrapped with 50% stretch.

Layer 3 bandage is wrapped in figure 8 technique at the ankle by pulling up on the bandage as you wrap around the back of the leg. Proceed up to the leg with 50% overlap and 50% stretch. Finish the wrap below the knee at the last circle, secure the bandage firmly with a tape.

All bandaging layer must be applied from the base of the toe to below the knee. This prevent your foot and top of calf from any swelling.

Your bandage should feel firm but not tight. This will allow you to move your ankle and foot freely.

Measure The Ankle Circumference

Four layer bandage should not be applied, if ankle circumference is less than 18cm (7.25in)
If the ankle circumference is less, then apply additional orthopedic layer to the ankle.
